Job Duties
- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses
- Prepare for and hold classes (face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online)
- Evaluate students’ work
- Assess student outcomes
- Provide regular and substantive feedback on student work
- Maintain appropriate records
- Hold office hours
- May advise students and/or provide other service to the department
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in a field appropriate to the needs of the department, or significant progress toward a doctorate degree
- In rare circumstances, post-baccalaureate certification or licensure, or a baccalaureate plus experience can be established as appropriate qualifications for the teaching position
- Specific certification/licensure or clinical experience may be required depending on the program
Key Job Responsibilities
- Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses
- Assesses student performance
- Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
- Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations
