Instructor Pool - GLOBAL CULTURES AND LANGUAGES
This is an ongoing instructor pool for the Department of Global Cultures and Languages. When specific teaching needs arise, the department will review applications and contact candidates to confirm continued interest and schedule interviews. Positions are terminal (fixed-term) and may involve teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses.

Responsibilities
- Facilitate classroom, online, and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance.
- Develop instructional design and curriculum relevant to assigned courses.
- Serve as an initial point of contact for students regarding course content and expectations.
- Maintain currency in the content area related to the teaching assignment.
- Evaluate students’ work and assess student outcomes, providing regular and substantive feedback.
- Maintain appropriate records and hold office hours.
- Advise students and/or provide other service to the department as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the department chair or dean.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in a field appropriate to the needs of the department, or significant progress toward a doctorate degree, or, in rare circumstances, post-baccalaureate certification or licensure, or a baccalaureate plus relevant experience.
- Depending on the program, specific certification/licensure or clinical experience may be required.
