About the role
P.K. Yonge Developmental Research School (DRS) is seeking to hire an Elementary Instructor for the 2026-2027 school year. The role involves direct teaching of assigned students, administering and analyzing formative assessments, designing appropriate curriculum, and maintaining regular parent communication.
Responsibilities
- Direct teaching of assigned students.
- Administer and analyze formative assessments to monitor student progress and plan instructional shifts.
- Design appropriate curriculum, instructional, and assessment accommodations to support academic success for all students.
- Incorporate effective and innovative uses of technology to support teaching, learning, and collaboration.
- Maintain regular parent communication (electronically, face-to-face, and conferences).
- Participate in practitioner inquiry (research) to support professional learning and inform continuous program improvement.
Requirements
- A Master’s degree; candidates with Bachelor’s degree will be considered, but will be required to obtain a Master’s degree within three years of hire.
- Florida teaching certification; Subject area certification.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Level 2 DCF Background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of K-12 teaching experience.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in education or related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field, with the requirement to obtain a Master’s degree within three years of hire.
- Florida teaching certification in the subject area.
