Job Description
- Teaching Pharmacy Law including but not limited to: developing and facilitating educational experiences for this didactic class, as well as student assessment for this portion of the course via exams, quizzes, assignments, or other appropriate measures of student achievement.
- Providing office hours for students in the course, either in-person or online.
- Providing a UMPJE preparation review session at the end of the semester for graduating students and early test-takers.
Required Qualifications
- A terminal degree in Pharmacy, Law, or another related field (Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE accredited school or for pre-2000 graduates, a BS in Pharmacy degree is considered terminal; for Law, a JD degree).
- Specialized training and/or equivalent experience in pharmacy law.
- Demonstrated ability to teach professional students as evidenced by past experience in developing presentations and/or previous teaching experience and demonstrated ability to plan and present a topic during the interview process.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the Uniform Multistate Jurisprudence Exam (UMPJE)
- Practice-based experience with Kansas legal requirements for pharmacists/pharmacies
