Job Summary
Classroom Instructor
Job Duties
- Teach radiologic technology courses in accordance with curriculum guidelines.
- Assist students with academic and career counseling.
- Participate in departmental meetings and committees.
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Medical Imaging or a related area.
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiology and registration in radiography.
- Two (2) years clinical radiology experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Imaging or a related area.
- Five (5) years clinical radiology experience.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
- Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.
- Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of trustees.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
- Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.) in most difficult phases.
- Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
- Regularly stand, use hands to handle or feel, talk or hear, reach with hands and arms, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and taste or smell.
- Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
- Sometimes work near moving mechanical parts.
- Work in a laboratory environment.
Reasoning Ability

- Tolerate the presence of laboratory chemicals.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Salary
Per Faculty Bargaining Agreement
Work Hours
Vary from semester to semester, depending on the needs of the department.
