About the role

The Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Instructor positions in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years).

Responsibilities

• Research in a surgical clinical or educational subspecialty
• Teaching of medical students, research-rotation residents, and lab personnel regarding laboratory policy and procedures
• Develop an individual training experience in research skills and teaching while building a career in an academic setting

Requirements

• M.D. degree
• Expertise in one or more surgical specialties
