Instructional Duties

Teach assigned courses in accordance with course descriptions. Perform on-site clinical practice teaching at designated hospitals. Teach all classes for the whole period as scheduled. Evaluate student progress and achievement with clear methods presented in the course syllabus. Utilizes evaluation results for planning, instruction, counseling, and program modification.

Record Keeping and Reporting

Keep accurate and up-to-date records. Submit grade reports and other required data on or before deadline dates. Resolve discipline problems within the sphere of responsibility.

Counseling and Support

Function as a member of the faculty committee in developing the instructional program and educational philosophy of the college. Assist and counsel students as needed, including during office and campus times.

Communication and Collaboration

Maintain continuity of communication with students, community, faculty, staff, and supervisors through timely replies to meetings, phone calls, mail, and email requests. Participate in Commencement ceremonies and Nursing pinning ceremonies. Demonstrate the skills necessary to examine situations and processes, making recommendations for improvement critically. Build &/or support a constructive team spirit where members are committed to the goals and objectives of the organization. Plan, organize, and successfully multitask to meet multiple deadlines and frequently new work tasks within required timeframes. Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing
• Active, clear Florida RN or APRN License
• Two (2) most recent years of medical/surgical clinical experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate in Nursing preferred
