Requirements

As an Instructor at Simplilearn, you will shape the future of AI and Machine Learning by delivering content from our Post Graduate Program in AI and Machine Learning, developed in collaboration with Microsoft. This program equips learners with comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in building intelligent systems using machine learning, deep learning, and neural networks.

Responsibilities

  • Create a positive, professional, and inclusive learning environment by:
    • Teaching select lessons according to learning objectives and session plans provided by Simplilearn.
    • Using strategies tailored to adult learners, including the use of tech tools, instructional best practices, and connecting content to real-world applications through industry insights and personal experiences.
    • Maintaining regular communication with students to align on progress, expectations, celebrate milestones, and address concerns.
    • Providing individualized support during synchronous class sessions and outside class through timely communication.
  • Evaluate student performance and progression by:
    • Providing constructive and timely feedback to students in the cohort.
    • Assisting in managing Performance Action Plans for students needing additional support.
  • Serve as a role model and ambassador for Simplilearn by:
    • Exhibiting professionalism and an ethical, empathetic approach in all interactions.
    • Promoting student retention and enhancing satisfaction by fostering a positive classroom culture.
    • Encouraging teamwork and seeking feedback for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL), including development and deployment of models using Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks.
  • A deep understanding of machine learning algorithms and concepts, such as supervised and unsupervised learning, neural networks, support vector machines, decision trees, and reinforcement learning.
  • A solid background in mathematical foundations of machine learning, including probability theory, linear algebra, optimization, and statistical analysis.
  • Experience with the entire ML lifecycle, from data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model selection, to model evaluation and deployment in real-world applications.
  • Proficiency with the ML stack, including libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, Keras, and working knowledge of big data tools such as Spark or Hadoop (optional but preferred).
  • Experience working with real-world data, including handling structured and unstructured datasets, data cleaning, and performing exploratory data analysis (EDA).
  • Previous teaching or mentoring experience, preferably in an online learning environment.
  • A passion for teaching and simplifying complex AI/ML topics for learners at various skill levels.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, focusing on engaging and student-centric teaching methods.
  • Professionalism, integrity, and empathy in all interactions with Simplilearn staff, students, and the public.

Benefits

The expected compensation for this role is $50 - $55 per hour for candidates meeting the qualifications listed. Advanced qualifications or domain expertise may result in higher compensation. Final offers are determined based on individual experience, skillset, and alignment with program needs. Not all candidates will qualify for the top of the salary range.
