Job Summary
This teaching assignment may include a full range of undergraduate courses within the Engineering Technology discipline about a variety of advanced manufacturing concepts. The courses will include both lectures and hands on labs.
Responsibilities
- Teaching assignments may include day, evening, weekend, in-person and/or online courses.
- Maintaining scheduled office hours, advising students, developing curriculum, participating in college service, and professional development activities.
- Leadership in developing and improving our academic courses.
- Community service is encouraged.
Minimum Requirements
- Associate’s degree or higher required in Engineering or a related Engineering field.
- 4,000 hours of work experience in mechanical engineering, engineering design, industrial technology, and/or the advanced manufacturing field.
- All academic degrees must be from a regionally accredited college or university.
- Ability to maintain good relationships with students, staff, and community members.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Teaching experience at the community college level.
- Experience and/or interest in using multimedia/new instructional technology in the classroom.
- Experience with various 3D CAD software applications.
- Experience with programming and operating CNC machinery and related software.
- Be fluent in internationally accepted machining practices and measurement systems.
- Technical knowledge and skills in computerized numerical control (CNC) programming, using the G-Code programming language and utilizing a 3-axis CNC milling machine.
- Understanding of electronics and related equipment.
- Understanding of mechatronic and robotic equipment.
- Experience and interest in utilizing Learning Management Systems for course enhancement or delivery.
