Instructor, Dance Academy
About the role
Successful candidates will be experienced in teaching dance to diverse students at all levels, use progressive pedagogy in teaching technique, and use sound anatomical and wellness principles in their pedagogy. Candidates should be able to teach all levels of dance. Candidates for this opening must be able to teach contemporary and modern along with other forms of dance. Additionally, applicants should be able to choreograph or restage work for student performers in on-campus concerts.
Responsibilities
- Teach dance to diverse students at all levels

Requirements
- Education: Requires a high school diploma or GED. A bachelor's degree in dance or dance education is preferred.
- Experience: Requires experience in teaching dance in a pre-professional setting. Professional performing experience preferred.

Candidates are encouraged to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the dance program and university through their teaching and service.
Additional Position Information
Two (2) positions available. Successful candidates will be available to teach weekday afternoons between 4 p.m. - 8 p.m.
