About the role
The Instructor/Clinical Coordinator (Masters Pending) will assist with administering the Medical Radiography program rules, regulations, and policies in compliance with current Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Standards; assess the clinical competency of Medical Radiography students; cooperate with the program faculty in periodic review/assessment, and revision of clinical course materials as needed; and demonstrate knowledge of clinical education content for a bachelor’s degree medical radiography program.
Responsibilities
- Assist with administering the Medical Radiography program rules, regulations, and policies in compliance with current JRCERT Standards.
- Assess the clinical competency of Medical Radiography students.
- Cooperate with the program faculty in periodic review/assessment, and revision of clinical course materials as needed.
- Demonstrate knowledge of clinical education content for a bachelor’s degree medical radiography program.
Requirements
- Holds, at a minimum, a bachelor’s degree (master’s degree preferred) from an accredited institution in radiography or a related discipline appropriate for college teaching.
- Documents three years’ clinical experience in the professional discipline.
- Holds current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration in radiography.
- An ideal candidate will also have at least one additional post-primary ARRT Certification in an advanced modality, preferably Computed Tomography (CT) or Magnetic Resonance (MR).
