Responsibilities
- Instructional Delivery:
- Prepare and deliver high-quality instruction and facilitate student learning
- Develop course syllabi and instructional plans using creative and innovative techniques
- Organize daily classes tailored to diverse learning styles and needs
- Instructional Management:
- Fulfill assigned schedule and maintain accurate student records
- Maintain a safe instructional environment and ensure equipment security
- Provide opportunities for student evaluation
- Student Retention and Placement:
- Advise students with timely, accurate, and comprehensive information
- Collaborate with the Office of Student Success to promote retention programs
- Program Recruitment & Promotion:
- Participate in recruitment events and tours
- Assist in department/program planning for recruitment
- Teamwork & Service:
- Demonstrate courteous behavior toward students, coworkers, and the public
- Maintain flexibility, including availability for evening, weekend, or summer assignments
- Work effectively in a team environment and uphold TSTC’s mission, vision, and values
- Other Duties as Assigned

Requirements
- Verifiable work experience in Building Construction Trades
- Ability to explain and demonstrate knowledge of:
- Hand tools, power tools, and stationary tools used in construction
- Blueprint reading, specifications, and construction contracts
- Construction safety and PPE rules and regulations
- Residential and commercial construction practices
- Wood floor frame, wall frame, and roof frame construction
- Concrete principles, formwork, placement, and finish
- Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Residential and commercial interior and exterior finish materials and applications
- Estimating and scheduling of construction projects
- Jobsite management and leadership skills
- Construction contracts and project management operations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Procore, Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word software
- OSHA Trainer Certification
- NCCER Core, Carpentry, Site Survey, or Project Management certifications
Education and Experience
Verifiable and demonstrated experience required.
