Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee all aspects of the BSW Field Education Program
- Recruit, evaluate, and approve field placement agencies
- Recruit and maintain partnerships with community agencies
- Recruit, orient, and train field instructors and task supervisors
- Conduct student orientation for field education
- Ensure field education complies with CSWE accreditation standards
- Teach Field Seminar and/or Integrative Seminar courses
- Work collaboratively with the BSW Program Director, Department Chair, faculty, and university administrators
- Evaluate the effectiveness of field placements
- Maintain active involvement in professional social work organizations
Minimum Qualifications
- MSW degree from a Council of Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited social work program
- Minimum of two years post-Master's degree social work in field practice experience
- Minimum of one-year full-time faculty teaching experience at the higher ed level
- Commitment to developing a strong record in online teaching, university public and service; and knowledge within some of the following areas: Child Welfare, Military Social Work, Trauma Informed Care, School Social Work, Juvenile Justice Social Work, or Emergency Management Social Work
Recommended Competencies
- Demonstrated leadership skills in professional and/or academic areas
- Familiarity with CSWE accreditation standards
- Record of teaching, (particularly practice courses), scholarly and service
- Demonstrated interest in social work practice
- Experience incorporating technology into teaching practices
- Certified Web Development
Pay
Anticipated Salary Range Maximum hiring rate $72,000.00.
