About the Role
Mohawk Valley Community College seeks an Instructor for its Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited, Associate degree radiologic technology program. The position involves teaching lecture, lab, and clinical assignments on the Utica campus with travel to off-campus clinical sites. Responsibilities include student advisement, committee work, curriculum development, and program assessment activities.
Full-time faculty teach contracted classes in traditional classroom settings and online, with potential daytime and evening assignments across Utica and/or Rome campuses. In addition to teaching, duties include program assessment, curriculum development, student advisement, facilitating internships, and recruiting for the program. Faculty also serve on School and College committees.
Responsibilities
- Teach lecture, lab, and clinical courses in a JRCERT-accredited radiologic technology program
- Travel to off-campus clinical sites for instruction
- Advise students and participate in committee responsibilities
- Develop and assess curriculum for program improvement
- Facilitate student internship experiences
- Recruit for the radiologic technology program
- Serve on School and College committees
- Teach courses in traditional and online formats, including potential daytime and evening classes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of two (2) years’ clinical experience in radiologic technology
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologies (ARRT) certification and registration in radiology or equivalent in radiation therapy
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one (1) year of experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited program
