About the role
The Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) supports the Marine Corps eLearning Ecosystem (MCeLE), the official distance learning and education network for the U.S. Marine Corps. The ISD is responsible for creating effective, engaging learning experiences and training programs using the ADDIE framework.
Responsibilities
- Develop curriculum, lead live demonstrations, and assist Academic Officers with conducting user testing
- Validate the technical performance of instructor-led, synchronous, and asynchronous delivery
- Develop, instruct, revise, and maintain course materials
- Perform curriculum reviews, courseware development, and multimedia enhancements
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master's Degree, or an equivalent combination of education
- 3-10 years of instructional design experience
- Experience with Moodle and LMS Operations
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both collaboratively and individually
- Critical thinking skills
- Ability to give presentations and briefings as needed
- Ability to safeguard and maintain electronic files
