Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Aid the classroom teacher with implementing instruction and reinforcing learning skills.
- Support the teacher's instruction plan.
- Assist with clerical and organizational duties such as grading assignments, making copies, laminating, completing paperwork, assembling bulletin boards and teaching tools, organizing classroom supplies and activity centers, and maintaining a clean instructional environment.
- Administer tests, grade, take attendance, complete paperwork, maintain files, and document student achievement.
- Maintain classroom and supervise students during breaks, lunch, recess, time outs, on field trips, and during drop-off and pick-up times before and after school.
- Enforce school-wide discipline procedures and ensure student safety.
- Arrive to work on time.
- Assist the teacher and/or administration with special projects.
- Attend staff meetings, professional development, IEP meetings, parent conferences, and school functions.
- Administer state tests to students in small groups.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of related experience.
- Experience working with students in a school setting preferred.

- Operating Knowledge: Personal computers, peripherals, and media equipment; Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, and/or other software packages; typical educational/instructional technology equipment and programs; typical office equipment.
