Recognize the basic dignities of students, parents and families, colleagues, and subordinates.
Exercise due care to protect the mental and physical safety of students.
Supervise students during transitions, recesses, lunches, and other times as directed.
Supplement teacher instruction to support student learning.
Plan and instruct students individually and/or in small groups to support student learning.
Perform non-instructional duties to support school operations.
Initiate and maintain collaborative relationships with students’ parents and families.

A high school diploma or an equivalent
A positive, student-centered, and solution-focused attitude towards education and students
The ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative relationships with others
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Punctuality and regular attendance
Respect for supervisors
The ability to work with diverse groups of students
The ability to enforce corporation and school rules and policies
The ability to adhere to strict confidentiality policies
The ability to use various computer and technology resources
A past record clear of criminal activity and child abuse or neglect

The duties of this position are performed in all school environments.
Persons are required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision requirements include close vision, distant vision, and depth perception.
Noise levels in the working environments may be moderately loud or loud.
Occasionally, persons are required to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
Persons are also required to maintain emotional composure under stress.
