Instructional Faculty in Biostatistics - Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics
The Temple University Barnett College of Public Health Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics is hiring a non-tenure track instructional faculty member in Biostatistics for the 2026-2027 Academic Year.
About the role
Instructional faculty teach a combination of in-person and online courses, offering excellent professional development in teaching. They may engage in collaborative research with colleagues and participate in the Department's Biostatistics Core, which provides comprehensive biostatistical consultation and computational services to researchers in the College of Public Health and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in biostatistics
- Contribute meaningfully to campus life through engagement in departmental, college, and university service
- Engage in collaborative research with colleagues
- Participate in the Department's Biostatistics Core
Qualifications
- Earned doctorate in biostatistics or a related discipline by the start date
- Commitment to creating inclusive, accessible spaces for all students
- Experience teaching and mentoring students from different backgrounds
- Skills in teaching quantitative courses to students with a range of aptitudes and using various statistical software (SAS, R)
- Online teaching experience is highly desirable
