Responsibilities
- Apply research-based learning theory and proven instructional design principles to create engaging course designs within established department and professional processes.
- Identify appropriate instructional strategies and define learning objectives appropriate to undergraduate and graduate level curriculum.
- Design, author, and edit complex eLearning, virtual, blended and classroom curriculum, programs and learning aids.
- Design/develop/implement eLearning, social learning, and mobile learning environment.
- Act as eLearning expert when determining, designing, and developing curriculum through research, team member input, and advanced functional/technical knowledge.
- Innovate and implement leading-edge methodologies using industry benchmarks.
- Write and communicate professional training materials in the English language.
- Remain current in industry trends and related technology.
- Assure that the scholarly expectations set forth by Touro University are met and exceeded by all facets of departmental assignments.
- Provide thorough and detailed quality assurance of all course material.
- Maintain accurate archives of course documentation and departmental tracking documents and provide timely updates/reports for institutional assessment.
- Maintain and enforce department policy.
- Work closely with Directors of Instructional Design to develop online course designs and templates for various course models.
- Support instructors who need problem-solving and solutions in LMS courses.
- Provide administrative support in the design, implementation, and evaluation of the University LMS and educational technologies.
- Develop instructional materials for faculty and administrative staff training related to the University LMS and other appropriate learning technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design or related field (desired).
- Minimum of two years’ experience.
