Qualifications
- Education/Certification: Bachelor Degree from an accredited university Master's Degree From Accredited University (Preferred)
- Valid Texas teaching certificate
- Deep understanding of research and evidence based practices for teaching reading and writing
- Ability to accurately assess student progress
- Extensive knowledge base of content, methodologies, and pedagogical practices related to the teaching of English Language Arts, as well as literacy in general with an emphasis on intervention and differentiation
- Extensive knowledge of curricular requirements such as those mandated by the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and the State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness (STAAR)
- Ability to gather, disaggregate and interpret data
- Ability to evaluate curriculum and instruction program and teacher effectiveness
- Three years' classroom experience
