Instructional Coach - Middle School Math/Science

Qualifications

• Education/Certification: Bachelor Degree from an accredited university Master's Degree From Accredited University (Preferred)
• Valid Texas teaching certificate
• Deep understanding of research and evidence based practices for teaching reading and writing
• Ability to accurately assess student progress
• Extensive knowledge base of content, methodologies, and pedagogical practices related to the teaching of English Language Arts, as well as literacy in general with an emphasis on intervention and differentiation
• Extensive knowledge of curricular requirements such as those mandated by the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and the State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness (STAAR)
• Ability to gather, disaggregate and interpret data
• Ability to evaluate curriculum and instruction program and teacher effectiveness
• Minimum of three years of demonstrated successful classroom experience in Math or Science, required
