About the role

The Instructional Assistant, Special Education supports the supervision and instruction of special education students, relieving teachers of clerical tasks, and assisting students by providing and developing adaptive and behavioral skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the supervision and instruction of special education students
  • Relieve teachers of clerical tasks
  • Provide and develop students' adaptive and behavioral skills

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Job-related experience is desired
  • Once the position closes, applicants may be invited to take a test
  • Applicants with 48 or more eligible semester units from an accredited college or university may be exempt from testing by submitting transcripts showing successful passing of these units

Qualifications
