Instructional Assistant - Special Education at White Mountain Middle School (3 Positions)

About the role

Eagle Point School District 9 (EPSD9) is seeking a compassionate, flexible, and student-centered Special Education Instructional Assistant to join White Mountain Middle School. This vital classified position supports students with diverse needs, helping them access their education through personalized and structured support, teamwork, and a strong commitment to student growth.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Special Education Teacher and classroom team to implement individualized supports and services outlined in students' IEPs.
• Provide academic, behavioral, and functional support.
• Assist with personal care needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication with the team.
• Play a key role in helping students with disabilities grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
• Assignments are based on student need and may include working one-on-one, in small groups, or in inclusive classroom settings.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• The ability to complete or already hold CPR/First Aid and CPI certifications.
• Two years of college credit, an associate's degree, or the ability to pass the district's assessment in reading, writing, and math.
• A valid Oregon driver's license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Collaborative, proactive, and confident in working with students who may require physical assistance, behavioral redirection, or personal care.

Pay

• $18.87-$26.85 per hour depending upon verified previous full-time experience in a similar position.

Schedule

• 182 days per year / 7 hours per day.
