Instructional Assistant- Special Education

About the role

Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, assist a certificated teacher in providing Instructional Assistants for Special Education help with the instruction to individual or small groups of students in an assigned special education program. They monitor and report student progress regarding behavior and performance and perform a variety of clerical and supportive duties related to classroom activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid California Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of special education techniques and strategies.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
