Instructional Assistant - Special Ed - 29 Hours/Week - Bonita Canyon (Current Employees)

About the role

Under the supervision of the Principal, assists instructional personnel in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students in an assigned classroom or other learning environment. May provide a variety of instructional and behavior support to individual students one-on-one. Assists in the preparation of instructional materials and implementation of lesson plans. Provides routine clerical support and performs related work as required.

Requirements

Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and some experience working with children in an educational or organized setting. Experience working with individuals with special needs preferred.

• If you are not currently an Instructional Assistant with IUSD, you must provide one of the following documents:
  • Proof of passage of the CBEST
  • Proof of an AA degree or higher from an accredited institution in the US
  • IUSD Proficiency Test with passing scores of 70% in all sections
  • ACT Test Scores with at least 23 in Math and 22 in English
  • SAT Test Scores with at least 550 Math, 500 English

Pay

The salary range is $20.61 to $25.69 per hour.

• 10 months per year
