Requirements
- One of the following:
- Achieve an Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college/university
- Complete 48 semester hours from an accredited college/university
- Pass the ParaPro Assessment
- Complete Basic Training (5 hours) provided by JSD Special Education Department
- Training must be completed within one week of hire as a condition of employment
- Additional 40 hours of training is available through the Special Education department allowing the employee to increase to lane 5 upon completion
- Training must be completed within six (6) months from hire date as a condition of employment
