Instructional Assistant, Scott Elementary (2026-2027 School Year)
Position Type: School Support/Instructional Assistant I
About the Role
Provide an enriched atmosphere where students learn subject matter and/or skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible members of society. Facilitate learning and guide students toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional and psychological growth and maturation.
Responsibilities
- Support the academic programming and progress of individual students and/or small groups of students with identified significant needs.
- Assist with daily classroom activities.
- Sanitize equipment and materials.
- Provide to the staff.
Requirements
- AA degree or 48 semester hours or passing scores on WorkKeys exams (Applied Math, Workplace Documents and Business Writing assessments. We require a score of 4 or higher for the Math and Workplace Documents and a 3 or higher for the Business Writing).
- Previous experience working in school setting or with children with special needs.
- Strong verbal communication skills, ability to move quickly from one position to another in response to student needs, desire to work in team setting, positive attitude, upper body strength with the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
- Paraprofessional experience preferred.
- Bilingual skills preferred, but not required.
Qualifications
- Knowledge, skills and abilities sufficient to perform the function of the position.
- Ability to provide student specific personal care support to students.
Skills
- Ability to sit for long periods of time, numerous distractions, visual, auditory and ambulatory acuity important.
- Ability to move quickly from one position to another in response to student needs.
- Upper body strength with the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.

- $19.26 per hour plus benefits/Range 17
- Additional salary credit may be given for internal transfers and recent Greeley-Evans School District 6 rehires, up to $30.86 per hour plus benefits
