Instructional Assistant (part-time) - 21st Century - Penns Grove 26-27 SY

About the Role

Part-time Instructional Assistants are needed for the 21st Century Community Learning Center Program within the Student Services Division of the CCIU. Multiple openings are available to work with middle and high school age students, supporting English Language Learners and/or academic support students. We seek exceptional, motivated, and passionate individuals who contribute to our vision of acting as educational leaders in Chester County and beyond.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• Experience working with bilingual/bicultural students preferred
• Experience working with middle or high school age groups preferred
• Computer and current technology knowledge required
• Must have Act 33 and 34 clearances and federal criminal history background check (available through CCIU upon hire)
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and implementation of supplemental educational programs
• Assist with regular communication with participating students’ parents, teachers, guidance counselors, and administrators as necessary
• Assist with facilitation of parent involvement in students’ education and dissemination of information, using translation/interpretation services as needed
• Assist with planning and implementation of parent involvement activities within the 21st Century Community Learning Center program

Schedule

Monday – Thursday, 2:15 pm – 5:00 pm. No program on Fridays.

Location: Penns Grove Middle School

Pay

Hourly rate for the 2026–2027 school year:

• 0 – 9 years experience = $19.38
• 10 – 13 years experience = $21.29
• 14 – 17 years experience = $23.19
• 18 – 25 years experience = $25.11
• Bachelor’s degree is equivalent to 9 years experience = $19.38
• Master’s degree is equivalent to 15 years experience = $23.19
