Job Description

Instructional Assistant I / II / II

• Instructional Assistant IIIs support our severe/emotionally disturbed students. We are looking for candidates with any combination of experience and training which provides the candidate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job duties.
• Severe/Emotionally Disturbed - working with students who have a Learning Handicap or Communicatively Handicap programs. Students designated as an emotionally disturbed (ED) class or an autism class or assigned to a Behaviorist to assist individual students.
• Experience working with groups of children; experience working with impaired children or adults highly desirable; coursework in child development highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Must pre-qualify by attaching one documentation [A, B, C, or D item] from the following list:
• [A] Passing score from SJUSD's Proficiency Exam - sing date must be April 2005 to current. No other school districts proficiency exam accepted. To schedule a sing appointment, click here: Pre-Employment Test
• [B] Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST)
• [C] OFFICIAL transcripts demonstrating the completion of two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units)
• [D] Proof of an A.A. degree (or higher)
