Length Of Work Year: 9 months/year, 206 days/year, 5 days/week

Qualifications

• Instructional Assistant III: Support severe/emotionally disturbed students. Experience working with groups of children; experience working with impaired children or adults highly desirable; coursework in child development highly desirable.

Note: Possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license.

Materials Required/Requirements

• Non-Title Sites: High School Diploma or equivalent and either a passing score from San Juan Unified School District's Proficiency Exam or an official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST).
• Title I Sites: One of the following: a passing score from SJUSD's Proficiency Exam, an official passing score from the CBEST, official transcripts demonstrating completion of two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units), or proof of an A.A. degree (or higher).
