Instructional Assistant (IA) - High

Job Summary

The Instructional Assistant supports teachers and school staff by providing instructional, academic, and behavioral assistance to high school students. This position helps create a positive, structured learning environment that promotes student engagement, academic success, and classroom participation.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• Associate's degree preferred
• Experience working with adolescents preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Basic technology proficiency

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with classroom instruction and educational activities
• Support student learning, engagement, and participation
• Work with students individually and in small groups
• Reinforce instructional goals and lesson objectives
• Aid in classroom management and behavior support
• Monitor and document student progress as directed
• Support implementation of accommodations for students with individualized learning needs
• Perform other duties as assigned
