Instructional Assistant - Health Care

About the Role

The Lawndale Elementary School District has an opening for an Instructional Assistant - Health Care. This position accumulates one paid vacation and sick day per month of employment. In addition, LESD provides a $1,000 per year career enrichment program for employees.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Resume required
• High School Diploma (or GED) required
• CPR and First Aid Certificates - must be valid
• 48 Units or an Associate Degree (or greater) degree from an accredited college/university is preferred
• Some experience working with school-age children in an organized setting is desirable

Special Note

The Health Care exam is a two-part scantron exam, one-hour IA test, and a 45-minute Health Care test. You must pass the IA exam to move to the next one. All applicants must take and pass both multiple choice scantron tests with a score of 70% or better.

Comments and Other Information

Effective January 1, 2026, all applicants for classified positions must provide a complete and accurate record of prior employment with all educational institutions, regardless of the length of service. This includes school districts, county offices of education, charter schools, and state special schools. This information is required to comply with Senate Bill 848 (SB848).
