Instructional Assistant/Educational Assistant I

About the role

The Educational Assistant I and Instructional Assistant positions at Larkspur Elementary are 5 and 25 hours per week respectively, totaling 30 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Report observations and incidents relating to specific students to appropriate instructional and/or administrative personnel.
• Perform general clerical tasks to assist teachers with instructional material.
• Maintain instructional materials and/or manual and electronic files to ensure availability and meet mandated requirements.
• Assist teachers with classroom assignments to support the instructional process.
• Aid students, individually or in small groups, with lesson assignments to practice and reinforce learning concepts and assist in reaching academic goals and grade level standards.
• Administer minor first aid to meet immediate health care needs.
• Mediate student conflicts to ensure a safe educational environment.

Requirements

• First Aid & CPR Certification - Colorado Education High School or Equivalent.

Qualifications

Skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Standing/walking for 90 minutes, frequent bending, stooping, walking, standing, kneeling, crawling, squatting, reaching, and sitting.

Pay

• Minimum Hire Rate: $16.78 USD per hour.
• Maximum Hire Rate: $21.32 USD per hour.
• Full Salary Range: $16.78 USD - $25.86 USD per hour.

Schedule

• Scheduled Hours Per Week: 30 FTE (0.75).
