INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT - EARLY CHILDHOOD

About the role

Responsibilities

• Help children learn and play: Support children with homework, crafts, games, reading, indoor activities, and outdoor play.
• Assist the teacher: Help with daily routines, prepare materials, follow teacher direction, and keep children engaged.
• Maintain attendance records, organize supplies, replenish classroom and bathroom materials, and help keep the room ready for the day.
• Prepare and serve snacks and meals, set tables, help with handwashing, bathroom needs, and naptime.
• Supervise play activities, monitor students indoors and outdoors, follow health and safety procedures, and provide basic first aid as needed.
• Help clean tables, dishes, mats, sinks, floors, and work areas to keep the classroom safe, sanitary, and welcoming.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Twelve (12) Early Childhood Education units or equivalent.
• A great attitude and love working with kids.
• Reliable and professional work habits.
• No paid experience required and no teaching credential required.
