Location: North Sashabaw Elementary
Responsibilities
- Provide individual or small group student support
- Supervise students during recess
- Supervise students at lunch time and maintain a harmonious atmosphere by encouraging peaceful resolution of conflicts
- Direct movement of groups to and from the cafeteria in a safe and organized manner
- Assist students in lunch room clean-up
- Supervise rest rooms and hallways
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Some reading/writing and language college classes preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate well to staff and students
- Willingness to learn developmentally appropriate educational practices
- Ability to walk long distances
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Ability to take written and oral instructions
Pay
- Instructional Aide: $17 per hour (2 hours/day) – Step 1 on pay scale
- Lunch / Recess: $18.00 per hour (up to 2 hours)
Schedule
Monday - Friday
Reports to: Building Principal
