Instructional Aide with Lunch Supervision/Recess Aide

Location: North Sashabaw Elementary

Responsibilities

• Provide individual or small group student support
• Supervise students during recess
• Supervise students at lunch time and maintain a harmonious atmosphere by encouraging peaceful resolution of conflicts
• Direct movement of groups to and from the cafeteria in a safe and organized manner
• Assist students in lunch room clean-up
• Supervise rest rooms and hallways
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Some reading/writing and language college classes preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate well to staff and students
• Willingness to learn developmentally appropriate educational practices
• Ability to walk long distances
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Ability to take written and oral instructions

Pay

• Instructional Aide: $17 per hour (2 hours/day) – Step 1 on pay scale
• Lunch / Recess: $18.00 per hour (up to 2 hours)

Schedule

Monday - Friday

Reports to: Building Principal
