QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE A.A. degree or equivalent required; courses in Psychology, Child Growth, and Development, or a closely related field preferred;Satisfactory work history;Successful experience demonstrating tact, courtesy, positive attitude, and maintaining cooperative relationships with those contacted during the course of work. RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist the Classroom Teacher in planning the course of study and specific lesson plans;May tutor individual students or groups of students under the guidance of the classroom teacher;Supervise individual students or small groups of students in practice activities such as math and spelling drills;Supervise students at assemblies and programs or during trips;Auditory and visual monitoring of students both inside the classroom and during outside activities;Assist students in reviewing homework assignments and test results;Prepare instructional and visual aids including posters, charts, and stencils;Arrange for and operate audiovisual equipment; Please see more in the job description attached below.
