About the role
The Instructional Aide supports clerical and classroom activities, provides individualized assistance to students, leads small group instruction, and supervises students.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Facilitate small group lessons to enhance literacy, numeracy, and subject-specific comprehension.
- Observe and provide real-time feedback to students during independent work.
- Administer assessments and record grades as directed.
- Manage administrative tasks such as grading, organizing files, and preparing instructional materials.
- Coordinate daily activities, maintain classroom supplies, and organize learning centers.
- Supervise students during transitions, breaks, and school events, ensuring a safe and orderly environment.
- Implement and reinforce classroom rules and directions.
- Use an answer key to grade tests and student assignments, and handle routine filing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent, and two years of college (minimum 48 units of core college credit), or an Associate’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
- Passage of the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST).
- Demonstrated excellence in writing, editing, and verbal communication.
- Strong leadership, team management, and project execution skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally.
- Proficient use of Google-based applications.
- Tuberculosis (TB) clearance.
- Background check clearance.
- Commitment to educational equity and ICEF’s mission.
Qualifications
- An earned High School Diploma or the equivalent, and
