About the role

We're dedicated to fostering a workplace where everyone shares a passion for our mission. As an Institutional Wealth Trust Strategist, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our clients' accounts are managed appropriately.

Responsibilities

  • Administers assigned accounts according to the terms of the controlling document, applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Works with the Portfolio Management Group to ensure all accounts are invested with appropriate asset allocation, if applicable.
  • Supports sales efforts and acquires new clients by working closely with clients, their professional advisors, and their account's portfolio manager.
  • Maintains regular contact with clients and their advisors.
  • Collaborates with other bankers, professionals in the legal and accounting fields, to attract new trust and investment management clients.
  • Ensures timely provision of accountings to parties associated with the Trust Administrator's clients.
  • Manages all aspects of assigned associates, including hiring, performance management, salary recommendations, training, and skill development.
  • Participates in community and civic activities.
  • Aids in budget preparation.
  • Ensures all departmental documents and activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including completing required compliance training.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA Degree from an accredited university/college.
  • Four to six years of experience in wealth management.
  • CPA, CFP, Law Degree, or ABA designation in the managed area is preferred.
  • Specialized training courses related to investments, financial planning, estate administration, or another trust-related field are helpful.
  • MS Word, Excel, and Outlook proficiency.
  • An ABA trust certification is preferable.

Skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to read and interpret financial reports and legal documents.
  • Ability to write simple-to-business correspondence, routine reports, and procedures.
  • Ability to respond to customer complaints, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to speak and present information in one-on-one and small group situations, to customers, clients, and employees.
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to problems.
  • Good organizational, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
