Installer, Residential Energy Operations

The Installer is an essential part of Tesla’s Field Energy Operations team, leading the drive towards accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy. Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the Crew Lead and Electrician on the successful installation of Tesla’s solar products
• Attending weekly team meetings and mandatory training sessions on new products, best installation practices, and standard workmanship guidelines
• Following building standards and codes when installing panels and support structures
• Aiding in routine maintenance on energy systems
• Managing time and tasks effectively with a sense of urgency
• Providing an exceptional customer experience

To succeed in this role, candidates should bring:

• Vocational or technical school training (preferred)
• Experience in roof work, general construction, or carpentry
• Ability to safely handle power tools, hand tools, ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, lumber, roofing materials, and more
• Ability to work outside in extreme environments and at heights
• Repetitive duties include lifting, bending, and standing for long periods of time
• Mandatory travel to various locations within the US, up to 2 weeks at a time, several times a year
• Valid driver’s license required
