About the role

WorkSpace Interiors is seeking a full-time Commercial Furniture Technician/Installer to join our growing Operations team. This role involves receiving, unloading, and installing systems furniture (modular) and freestanding furniture.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and install systems furniture (modular) and freestanding furniture.
• Ensure accurate and timely installation of products in compliance with manufacturer’s specifications and to the customer’s satisfaction.
• Prior furniture installation/Steelcase furniture systems product knowledge a plus.
• Must be able to work on weekends and overtime, as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical ability with hand/power tools, good organizational skills, exceptional customer service skills, and ability to follow instructions thoroughly.

General and Physical Requirements

• Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 lbs regularly and occasionally heavier items with team assistance or equipment.
• Able to walk, stand, bend, reach, crouch, and kneel for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Able to ascend/descend stairs and ladders and navigate unfinished, uneven, or cluttered job sites safely.
• Able to use hand and power tools safely and effectively for assembly and installation tasks.
• Able to read and interpret floor plans, installation drawings, and written instructions.
• Able to use reliable transportation and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Able to work in various environmental conditions, including indoor and outdoor sites, buildings under construction or renovation, and spaces without climate control.
