About the role
This position involves the installation of architectural grade doors, frames, and hardware, including toilet accessories, toilet partitions, lockers, and other Division 10 products.
Responsibilities
- Follows instructions from field supervisor regarding installation of doors, frames, and hardware, to include toilet accessories, toilet partitions, lockers, and other Division 10 materials
- Works independently and with other installers to install Division 8/10 products as assigned and trained
- Responsible for installation of more technically advanced or demanding architectural grade products
- Follows manufacturer direction and warranty requirements when installing products
- Tracks time and materials as required for each installation project
- Maintains all equipment in good working order and reports any malfunctions to field supervisor
- Trains entry level technicians on proper installation techniques and methods
- Follows all company policies and procedures
- Provides quality customer service
- Attends all training to learn new technology of building materials and installation methods as required by location management
Requirements
- High School Diploma, or an equivalent combination of education/experience
- Some installation experience with doors, frames, and hardware products, or Division 10 products
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test
Qualifications
- Ability to read and use a measuring tape, level and other required tools for installation required
- Excellent interpersonal skills required
- Excellent written and verbal skill required with the ability to communicate and understand detailed instructions
Physical Demands
- This position requires physical activity consistent with a construction or installation environment.
- The employee will spend more than two-thirds of their time standing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, using hands to handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms.
- About one-third of the time may be spent walking and engaging in verbal communication or listening.
- Frequent lifting and moving of materials weighing between 25 and 50 pounds is required.
Work Environment
- This role may involve travel to project sites and exposure to a variety of environmental conditions.
- These may include outdoor weather, proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery, and the use of hand tools or hardware.
- Employees may be subject to frequent heavy lifting and other physical demands typical of a construction or warehouse environment.
