About the role

This position involves the installation of architectural-grade doors, frames, hardware, toilet accessories, toilet partitions, lockers, and other Division 10 products.

Responsibilities

• Follow instructions from field supervisor regarding installation of doors, frames, hardware, toilet accessories, toilet partitions, lockers, and other Division 10 materials.
• Work independently and with other installers to install Division 8/10 products as assigned and trained.
• Install more technically advanced or demanding architectural-grade products.
• Follow manufacturer directions and warranty requirements when installing products.
• Track time and materials for each installation project.
• Maintain all equipment in good working order and report malfunctions to field supervisor.
• Train entry-level technicians on proper installation techniques and methods.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Provide quality customer service.
• Attend training to learn new technology of building materials and installation methods as required.
• Perform other relative duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Some installation experience with doors, frames, hardware products, or Division 10 products.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test.

Skills

• Ability to read and use a measuring tape, level, and other required installation tools.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to understand detailed instructions.

Physical Demands

• Spends more than 2/3 of time standing, kneeling/crouching/stooping, using hands, and reaching.
• Spends approximately 1/3 of time walking and talking/hearing.
• Frequent lifting of items weighing 50-80 pounds.

Work Environment

• May require driving to project sites.
• May be exposed to variable weather conditions.
• Other conditions may include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware.
• Subject to frequent heavy lifting.
