Installer

About the Role

Working with our Service team, the Installer's primary responsibility is to effectively install, service, and repair commercial laundry equipment for internal and external clients while adhering to Alliance Laundry Systems' quality standards, policies, and procedures. This role ensures customer satisfaction by following company standards, techniques, and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides general customer service by performing accurate diagnosis, presenting findings, recommendations, and instructions to clients on commercial laundry equipment usage after installation and testing.
• Assists with routine preventive maintenance of parts and equipment.
• Responsible for taking parts for repair or ordering necessary replacements for faulty or worn-out parts.
• Writes accurate reports summarizing work performed.
• Collaborates in disassembling equipment and parts for maintenance or repair.
• Assists with research and placement of parts orders, reviews work orders and invoices to ensure timely part orders and meet work deadlines.
• Maintains inventory in the assigned company vehicle and reports company expenses.
• Travels to customer locations in a company vehicle to perform on-site repairs, troubleshooting, and installations, including responding to emergency/unscheduled maintenance requests assigned by the Service Manager.
• Communicates top-level escalations to the Service Manager and contributes to best practices and process improvements.
• Performs other tasks as required to maintain efficient department operations.

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of work experience in commercial, military, industrial, or manufacturing equipment repair preferred. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered.
• Knowledge of single-phase electric power equipment required.
• Experience in telephone and email/ticketing dispatch system-based customer support preferred.
• Proficient computer skills, including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel, preferred.

• Strong mechanical acumen: Ability to identify, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical and electrical issues. Capable of reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings.

Travel

Travel is limited to the service territory, with some overnight travel required.

Physical Requirements

• Involves sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, stooping, bending, climbing, and manual dexterity.
• Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. frequently. Assistive devices will be provided for greater weight items.
• Regularly requires talking, hearing, and using hands to manipulate objects or controls.
• Frequent and continuous computer-based work, requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean Motor Vehicle Record. A company vehicle may be provided.
