Installer

About the role

The Installer at Alliance Laundry Systems Distribution is responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing commercial laundry equipment. This position also includes assisting with preventive maintenance, writing reports, and collaborating on part orders.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair commercial laundry equipment
• Provide accurate diagnosis, recommendations, and instructions to clients regarding the usage of commercial laundry equipment
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on parts and equipment
• Take parts for repair or order necessary parts to replace faulty or worn-out parts
• Write accurate reports summarizing work performed
• Disassemble equipment and parts/equipment for maintenance or repair
• Assist with research and placement of parts orders
• Review work orders and invoices to ensure required parts are ordered in a timely manner
• Communicate top-level escalations to the Service Manager and contribute to best practices and process improvement
• Travel to customers' locations to perform on-site repairs, troubleshooting, and installations, as well as respond to emergency/unscheduled maintenance requests

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• At least 3 years of work experience in commercial, military, industrial, or manufacturing equipment repair (or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience)
• Knowledge of single-phase electric power equipment
• Experience in telephone and email/ticketing dispatch system-based customer support
• Strong mechanical acumen, ability to identify, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical and electrical issues
• Solid organizational skills and detail-oriented
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficient computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
• A valid driver’s license
• A clean Motor Vehicle Record

• Ability to self-manage workload and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficient computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Strong work ethic, proactive approach, self-initiative, and tenacity
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. frequently
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and change
