Key Responsibilities
- Install and service electronic security systems (intrusion, access control, cameras, integrated systems) and resolve installation issues.
- Wire new construction and existing structures for security systems.
- Program security systems and devices.
- Perform system testing and commissioning.
- Provide customer training on the use and basic troubleshooting of common issues and programming features.
- Perform various tasks related to the service of electronic security systems, such as troubleshooting, repairing, updating, upgrading, and maintenance.
- Analyze and diagnose system failures to determine causes and necessary correction.
- Inspect quality of work performed to ensure conformity with specifications and requirements.
- Document work performed and corrective actions thoroughly and descriptively.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Electronic Security Systems Technician.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for documentation and customer and peer interaction.
- Advanced problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Tech-driven with a desire to learn new technology continually.
- Strong work ethic with a self-starer personality
- Career-oriented and motivated to move up
- Electrical/Electronics, Low Voltage, and Construction Knowledge.
- Understanding of wiring and wiring per code.
- Ability to read and understand technical diagrams, manuals, and project documentation.
Work Requirements
- Be able to lift and carry 50+ pounds, exposure to confined spaces (such as attics, basements, crawl spaces),
- 50% travel – per diem provided
- Ability to manipulate objects (such as feeding wires and assembling system components),
- Ascending and descending ladders,
- Operating hand tools, driving trucks, large vans, and hauling trailers.
