Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Timely and proper inspection, repair, maintenance, and installation of customer equipment to exceed customer expectations and maintain Rite-Hite's reputation for exceptional customer service.
• Develop and maintain excellent customer relations, embodying Rite-Hite's commitment to customer service.
• Comply with all company policies and safety guidelines.
• Perform installation, inspection, and repair of equipment in the field, ensuring customer needs are met and exceeded. This may involve working independently or in small teams.
• Guide other Service Technicians with less skills/knowledge through complex problems in the field, training them in proper field installation, service, and repair of equipment and administrative procedures.
• Accurately complete all necessary paperwork associated with field service, repair, and installation, including service tickets, timesheets, open job tracking forms, and safety analysis sheets.
• Maintain compliance with operation and communication standards as per the Field Service Technician Handbook.
• Operate a service vehicle and truck-based cranes, forklifts, welders, torches, and power and hand tools in compliance with DOT Driver Qualification standards.
• Follow all customer-specific requirements, policies, safety guidelines, and directions on their work sites.
• Work closely with other departments to maximize customer satisfaction.
• Occasionally travel domestically overnight for training, supporting customers at other offices, etc.

Education and Experience

The successful candidate will have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• One to five years’ experience in repair and service of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical equipment

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Service technicians must have a valid drivers license and pass a DOT medical exam.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, schematics, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This role will not have supervisory responsibilities.
