About the role
Install, service, and maintain ceiling-track patient lift systems in hospitals and long-term care facilities. This is a commercial healthcare role with no residential installations.
Responsibilities
- Install ceiling-track lift systems and related patient-handling equipment.
- Conduct site surveys and review construction drawings and room layouts.
- Audit installations to confirm quality, safety, and company standards.
- Coordinate materials, deliveries, storage, subcontractors, and project documentation.
- Troubleshoot equipment, complete repairs, and perform preventive maintenance.
- Train hospital and long-term care staff on proper equipment operation.
- Maintain an organized company vehicle, tools, and parts inventory.
- Travel to regional and out-of-state project sites, including overnight travel.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Three to five years of construction, carpentry, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, installation, or closely related experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence using hammer drills, chop saws, band saws, line lasers, tape measures, and hand tools.
- Ability to work safely from ladders, scaffolding, and scissor lifts and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license with a good driving record.
- OSHA 10 preferred; OSHA 30 is a strong plus.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
