Install Technician
About the role
Our service department is essential to support our customers after the sale as well as a valuable sales tool when selling new business. As a Service Technician, you will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install commercial and industrial water softeners, reverse osmosis machines, filtration equipment, and other water treatment equipment systems. You will be physically moving all day, expected to sit, stand, lift, and maneuver within commercial buildings, industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, and production areas. You will use problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical issues that arise throughout your day.
Responsibilities
- Represent Culligan in the community in a safe and professional manner.
- Service, install, and repair commercial and industrial water treatment equipment.
- Maintain a professional attitude within accounts with all customers.
- Promote and sell other Culligan products and services.
- Communicate vital information regarding customers to other dealership departments.
Requirements
- Previous experience in water treatment and/or experience in HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical-related industry.
- Mechanical inclination and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of hydronic, electrical, and mechanical equipment—"how things work".
- Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently; critical thinking is a must.
- Ability to work under deadlines and physically demanding conditions (ability to move product up to 185 lbs).
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- 1+ year working experience in a customer service, customer-focused position.
- Valid MN driver's license.
- Safe driving record (will be checked).
- Must pass DOT physical exam.
- Subject to pre-employment background check, drug screening, and physical skills assessment.
Qualifications
Plumbing experience is a plus but not required. Previous water treatment experience is preferred.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8-hour shift within the hours of 6 AM–6 PM. However, there may be days that exceed 8 hours.
Pay
Pay range: $23–$24 USD per hour.
