Description
The Install Technician is responsible for supporting the safe, timely, and high-quality installation of custom signage in the field. This role works under the direction of a Senior Installer or Crew Lead to complete daily and weekly installation assignments while upholding Fravert’s standards for safety, craftsmanship, and customer service. Install Technicians work in a variety of environments and elevations, often outdoors and at significant heights, installing unique signage that represents our customers’ brands.
What You’ll Do
- Aid with daily and weekly installation assignments safely and efficiently
- Review job drawings, installation instructions, maps, and customer requests with the crew lead
- Operate and assist with hand tools, welding equipment, aerial lifts, cranes, and other installation equipment
- Support minor electrical connections and troubleshooting under supervision
- Communicate clearly with Lead Installer, Outdoor Supervisor, and/or Project Managers regarding job status
- Document job completion with required photos and field reporting tools
- Identify and report site conditions or issues that may impact schedule or scope
- Maintain truck inventory and ensure required materials are available
- Perform routine maintenance and care of tools and equipment
- Ensure job sites are clean, secure, and professional upon completion
- Represent the company professionally in all customer interactions
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Relevant field or construction-related experience
- Working knowledge of hand tools, welding, aerial lifts, and crane support
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Ability to work at heights (including above 60 feet)
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking ability
- Basic math skills
- Basic computer and tablet proficiency
- Strong communication skills and customer-service orientation
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior sign installation experience
- CDL (or ability to obtain)
- OSHA certification
