Job Responsibilities
- Expected to travel to any of our seven office locations to perform inspection work.
- A rotating schedule is applicable as needed for on-demand customer needs, including per diem, a company truck, gas card, toll tag, company cell phone, and tablet.
- Sprinkler
- Perform duties in a cost-effective manner while inspecting structures that contain fire sprinkler systems.
- Accurately complete all inspection-related documentation.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of applicable NFPA standards, common materials, and installation processes.
- Maintain RME-I license and obtain and maintain TCEQ backflow licensing (B-PAT).
- Properly perform required sprinkler system inspections and inspect all associated components, including but not limited to wet, dry, fire pumps, pre-action, deluge, antifreeze loops, backflows, etc.
- Cross-train in additional licensing duties to obtain multiple licenses.
- Alarm
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of applicable NFPA standards.
- Accurately complete all inspection-related documentation.
- Perform duties in a cost-effective manner while inspecting structures that contain fire alarm systems.
- Properly perform required alarm system inspections and inspect all associated components.
- Cross-train in additional licensing duties to obtain multiple licenses.
- Extinguisher / Hood / Special Hazard
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of applicable NFPA standards, manufacturer installation manuals, and requirements.
- Accurately complete all inspection-related documentation.
- Perform duties in a cost-effective manner while inspecting structures that contain fire extinguishers, hood suppression systems, and/or special hazard systems (based on license held).
- Properly perform required extinguisher and suppression system inspections and inspect all associated components.
- Cross-train in additional licensing duties to obtain multiple licenses.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Hold the required NICET level for the trade and applicable/current Texas Department of Insurance license.
- Strong understanding of materials, tools, equipment, and procedures used in the installation process, plus working knowledge of NFPA standards.
- Current and valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record and acceptable criminal background.
